Welcome to Ards Friary
Ards Friary aims to welcome everyone and is available throughout the year for Retreats (preached, directed, private etc) Conferences, Seminars, periods of rest and relaxation, reflection, prayer and holidays.
We all need to take time out from the hectic life cycle of work to refocus on what is really important to us. Why not let Ards Friary become a part of your life.
You can find out more about each retreat by clicking the appropriate link. Opposite is a list of the retreats that will be happening this year.
The daily rate for staying at Ards on a private retreat on a full board basis is €55 per day.
If you wish to make a private retreat at a time that a group event is advertised, you are more than welcome, as we generally would have rooms available.

SAINT OF THE WEEK
"We should have frequent recourse to prayer, and persevere a long time in it. God wishes to be solicited. He is not weary of hearing us. The treasure of His graces is infinite. We can do nothing more pleasing to him than to beg incessantly that He bestow them upon us."
"Be driven by the love of God because Jesus Christ died for all, that those who live may live not for themselves but for him, who died and rose for them. Above all, let your charity and zeal show how you love the Church. Your work is for the Church, which is the body of Christ."
"I will often consider myself as an instrument which is of no use except in the hands of the Workman. Hence I must await the orders of Providence before acting and be careful to accomplish them when unknown."
"An evil thought defiles the soul when it is deliberate and consented to. Our Lord placed evil thoughts at the head of all crimes, because they are their principle and source."
St John Baptist de La SAlle
