Welcome to Ards Friary
Ards Friary aims to welcome everyone and is available throughout the year for Retreats (preached, directed, private etc) Conferences, Seminars, periods of rest and relaxation, reflection, prayer and holidays.
We all need to take time out from the hectic life cycle of work to refocus on what is really important to us. Why not let Ards Friary become a part of your life.
You can find out more about each retreat by clicking the appropriate link. Opposite is a list of the retreats that will be happening this year.
The daily rate for staying at Ards on a private retreat on a full board basis is €55 per day.
If you wish to make a private retreat at a time that a group event is advertised, you are more than welcome, as we generally would have rooms available.

WISDOM OF THE SAINTS
“Pray, hope, and don't worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.”
“My past, O Lord, to Your mercy; my present, to Your love; my future to Your providence.”
“Prayer is the best weapon we have; it is the key to God's heart. You must speak to Jesus not only with your lips, but with your heart. In fact on certain occasions you should only speak to Him with your heart.”
"Jesus is with you even when you don’t feel His presence. He is never so close to you as He is during your spiritual battles. He is always there, close to you, encouraging you to fight your battle courageously. He is there to ward off the enemy’s blows so that you may not be hurt.”
"True and substantial devotion consists in serving God without experiencing any sensible consolation. This means serving and loving God for His own sake.”
“You say you are anxious about the future, but don’t you know that the Lord is with you always and that our enemy has no power over one who has resolved to belong entirely to Jesus?”
